Basic Liver Screen

The liver is a complex organ which produces proteins and enzymes, blood clotting factors, stores vitamins and produces bile. Our liver function test can detect liver disease by measuring:

• specific enzymes in the blood
• albumin, the main protein made by the liver
• bilirubin, a substance made during the break down of red blood cells

Liver function tests may be useful if you are concerned about high alcohol intake, family history of liver disease, fatty liver, or are showing symptoms of a liver condition.
